We have been this week approved by Constructionline, the UK’s leading procurement and supply chain management service. The accreditation is expected to open up new market opportunities for the family owned business, established in Perth since 1984, by streamlining the tendering process for their customers and cementing their established credibility as a quality supplier.
Constructionline, acquired by Capita in January 2015, was originally set up by BIS (formerly the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions) to assist with public sector contract tendering. It aims to reduce the annual cost (currently £165m) for construction industry buyers and suppliers, particularly SMEs, of repeatedly providing pre tender information. Capita was awarded the original concession to run Constructionline, by the Government, in 1998. Its recent acquisition will see further investment in the accreditation body which currently only provides services to the top 15% of construction industry suppliers.
For Scotloo, the accreditation is external recognition of their quality standards. Anne Smith, Managing Director of Scotloo commented:
“I’m delighted with our accreditation from Constructionline. It’s a very thorough accreditation process – they collect, assess and monitor our company information through a question set that is aligned to PAS 91, the standardised pre-qualification questionnaire developed by BSI, and ensure that we are not only meeting best practice but maintain this position on an ongoing basis.
“The team work hard across the business to ensure these standards are set and met every day and I’m extremely pleased that our accreditation will open up even more opportunities for Scotloo to expand and grow as we approach celebrations of our 30th year in business.”
Scotloo was set up in 1984 by Perth entrepreneur Ian Black, and supplies portable toilets to some of Scotland’s biggest and most prominent events, as well as the agricultural and construction industries.
