Scotloo were delighted to come to the rescue of the popular Benarty Gala. We would like to share this story with you.
Saturday 29th, June 2019 and the preparation work for the Benarty Gala was well and truly underway. With around 8,000 people expected for the Fife event, it was set to be another outstanding event. That is until vandals cruelly set fire to the site overnight and as a result, destroyed the chemical toilet provisions.
It may not sound like a big deal, but be assured, any event without toilets simply cannot operate.
Replacements had to be sourced and quickly. The committee members rallied round, but they were unable to get in contact with their current toilet supplier. At 9 am on the day of the event, there was still no answer, no instruction and no emergency out of hours number.
Organisers simply didn’t know where to turn and the clock was ticking. Disappointment and with the threat of cancellation looming, they almost gave up!
The organisers came across Scotloo and promptly called us. The enquiry was passed over to our out of hour’s emergency contact, for that morning, Phil.
We were delighted to help out as we know how crucial portable toilets are for events such as the Benarty Gala.
By the time our office opened at 10 am, Phil had the yard open and already had the toilets waiting for collection. The event organisers were already on route to our HQ to pick up their toilets.
It was our pleasure to assist and come to the aid of this community event. We were very grateful for the kind words of appreciation from organisers, attendees and even the local councillor for coming to the rescue and allowing the Gala to go ahead. We look forward to working with the event organisers again next year.
