Every November 19, this globally recognised day highlights the powerful role that toilets play in promoting dignity, health, and stability worldwide. This year, we’re also excited to spotlight our meaningful partnership with Toilet Twinning – a unique initiative helping us make a positive impact far beyond Scotland.
For us, it’s more than just providing portable toilets for events and worksites; it’s about ensuring access to clean, reliable facilities that contribute to public health and well-being.
Did you know that 3.6 billion people around the world still lack access to safely managed sanitation?
World Toilet Day, recognized by the UN, brings attention to the 3.6 billion people globally who lack access to safely managed sanitation. From improving public health to promoting dignity, toilets play a vital role in quality of life. As a company dedicated to sanitation, Scotloo understands the importance of clean, accessible facilities and the impact they have on communities.
Our Partnership with Toilet Twinning
In addition to providing portable sanitation solutions across Scotland, Scotloo has partnered with Toilet Twinning, an inspiring initiative that helps fund the construction of toilets and sanitation projects in underdeveloped communities worldwide. By “twinning” our toilets, Toilet Twinning supports families in need of proper sanitation, helping reduce disease, protect dignity, and foster peace in their communities.
We recently twinned our first toilet in Malawi, in a rural village called Khalamntheta. Next year, we aim to expand our “Toilet Twinning” as much as we can and throughout all of the countries in which Toilet Twinning has a presence in.
