Site Accommodation

What services do I need to have on site?
Scotbox anti-vandal offices and canteens require 32 or 16 amp power supply generally delivered via customer’s own diesel generator. Scotbox can hire generators up to 16Kva. We were also provide temporary toilet blocks – these can be linked straight into the mains water and sewage supply or drained into a temporary septic tank or a holding tank (also available from Scotloo).

How are the units delivered to site?
Scotbox operates a modern fleet of lorry-mounted mobile cranes, the largest of which can lift and carry portable accommodation of up to 32 feet in length. Our Mega Lift will can lift 4 ton even at 12metres extension and up to 11 ton close in.

Can you double stack units?
Yes the above noted 56m/ton Mega Lift will easily accomplish this task.

How quickly can units be delivered to site?
As Scotbox operates its own Hiab fleet, we are very fast and reactive to customer needs.

What are your transport rates?
Within a reasonable distance of our central Scotland base, our transport rates are competitive. Rates can be quoted on an hourly basis or on a job/location specific basis.

Are the office units secure?
Yes, the vast majority of our fleet are modern steel construction units with internally secured window shutters to minimise potential losses due to vandalism and theft.

Do you provide furniture and filing cabinets?
Yes, a range of suitable furniture is available upon application.

Container Sales & Hire

What age and condition are your containers?
Our modern Hire Fleet is wind and water tight and come fitted with security box for secure locking. 

What if I have fragile valuables that need to be kept dry and clean?
If specified in advance, new/pristine interior containers can be supplied for storage of items such as furniture etc.

What price should I expect to pay for your sales containers?
From a pristine ‘single shipper’ through to ex-hire fleet stock – each container is offered on a ‘sold-as-seen’ basis. Please contact our operations director to arrange a viewing appointment.

Mobile Crane Hire

Can you move my own site accommodation?
Yes, units up to 32 feet can be efficiently moved from site to site by our fully qualified Hiab drivers.

What lifting capacity do you have?
Our 56 metre/ton ‘Mega Lift’ will lift up to 12 ton. See product spec for details.

How do I arrange to book your Hiab?

Toilets and Showers

What is your minimum hire period?

The minimum charge period is 7 days. Hire periods are flexible to suit your needs.

Do you deliver and collect?

Yes, our well equipped fleet of mobile cranes and trucks can deliver and collect at a mutually agreeable time. Rates for transport can be quoted on application.

What kind of toilets will I need? 

Depending on the size of event and number of guests/attendees; you can choose from single chemical toilets, 6 man urinals and toilet blocks separated male and female sited over holding tanks where no mains access is available. Additionally, you can hire our ‘Saltire’ range of deluxe portable toilets, ideal for weddings, marquees and other appropriate outdoor events.

Do you have Disabled Toilets and Baby Changing facilities?

Yes, we have two options; a chemical disabled toilet with extra interior space and a disabled toilet with additional baby changing facilities.

How will I know how many toilets to hire?

Will the toilets I get be clean?

We keep a separate stock of individual portable toilets exclusively for use by outdoor event hire customers.

Will the toilets come with toilet paper, soap etc.?

Yes, all necessary disposables will be provided, quantities proportional to hire period and anticipated usage.

Can supplementary cleaning be arranged?

Additional servicing visits can be arranged in advance at cost.

What services do I need to provide?

A key requirement is suitable access for delivery vehicles and surface upon which to station toilets units. Individual chemical toilets, disabled toilets and Baby Changing Units are totally self-contained and require no services. Event toilet blocks require a 13 Amp mains electricity supply or power via an external generator, also access to mains sewage and water. Where these are not available a large capacity holding tank, clean water bowser and electric pump can be made available at cost.
